Here now, dont get all worked up. Im talking about self-preservation here - survival. Can this primary instinct of ours be an impediment to all accomplishments? The manner in which we avoid trouble, our aversion to risk, the search for a stable secure life all stem from this primary nature. When we see something suspicious on the road in the middle of the night our first reaction would be to run away, and in scary movies when the apparent heroine chases shadowy figures in the dark we wonder why she does it..cant she run away? Well if she did run away and there wasn't someone not trying to kill her there wont be a story left to tell.
Taking the trouble to do something always means trouble. So perhaps the purpose of our lives is to overcome this basic instinct of ours, this is necessary to do anything... Just a random thought.
